Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce Recognizes PSC’s Value-Added Earnings Methodology
In September 2026, Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce recognized the Postsecondary Commission’s approach to measuring students’ value-added earnings in a new report.
Measuring Postsecondary Value: A Model for Applying Research to Policy and Practice, the second report in CEW’s three-part series on the future of higher education, helps leaders identify options for measuring the economic value of higher education degrees.
The report compares and contrasts several approaches to measuring economic returns to higher education. The report also discusses how these efforts are frustrated by lack of access to student-level data on earnings and costs.
The report praised PSC’s approach to measuring economic returns in higher education as one that “can help students consider whether they will recoup their tuition and fees.”
“We appreciate being recognized by CEW alongside other leading efforts to measure economic outcomes in higher education,” said Chelsea Pennucci, PSC’s Vice President of Research and Knowledge Management.
